Toledo Says ‘goodbye’ To Siku The Polar Bear
One of the Toledo Zoo’s most famous inhabitants will be soon be departing to a different home. Siku, the 21-month old polar bear will be leaving Toledo sometime early this autumn to make a new home with the Louisville Zoo. Siku was given birth in December 2009 to parents Marty and Crystal and was the sole live born polar bear in captivity inside a U.S. Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) certified zoo. Siku can expect some nice digs when he comes to Louisville. The Glacier Run bear den is lauded because of its spacious habitat
