The Life Of A Thoroughbred - After Racing

While there are thousands of horses bred to run flat and jump courses each year, only a very small percentage of these racehorses are successful enough to be destined for the breeding shed. A racehorse's life is by no means over when it finishes racing, there often racehorses for sale which can be retrained for other disciplines. With the correct training and understanding of these horses, a racehorse can excel at dressage or be put to work as a successful hack, jumper, or eventer. Horses are intelligent and highly athletic creatures
